Samsung to open Europe air-conditioning office in Amsterdam

A new air-conditioning sales office for the European market to open in the Netherlands

Samsung Electronics has announced the opening of its Samsung Electronics Air Conditioner Europe (SEACE) sales offices in the capital of the Netherlands. The office will officially begin operations in January 2017.

The SEACE sales office will open in Amsterdam and is designed to provide a central hub for the sale of Samsung air-conditioning units throughout Europe. The sale of Samsung air-conditioners in Europe has previously been handled by individual sales offices in 17 European nations.

According to Samsung Electronics, the European market for B2B air-conditioning systems is the second largest in the world. The market is expected to grow from $3.6bn in 2016 to $4.2bn by 2020, according to forecasts.

For this reason, Samsung has decided to increase its air-conditioning activity in Europe in order to take advantage of the expected growth.

In recent months, the South Korean firm has launched a host of new innovative air-conditioning products, including the DVM S and the indoor 360 Cassette, which have been “recognised as game-changers in the system air conditioner market”, according to Byung-sam Suh, the Head of Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics.

The new Amsterdam sales office will offer the European market an advanced hub for training, technology support, improved services and unique distribution operations.

Mr Suh of Samsung commented on the move: “Our goal is to double air conditioning sales in Europe by 2020, and we are going to achieve that with specialised operations and strengthened marketing.”
