IoR introduces new grade for young members

The Institute of Refrigeration has set up a new Young Members grade to encourage young people to join

The Institute of Refrigeration (IoR) has introduced a new membership grade for young people working in the heating, refrigeration and air conditioning sectors.

The new membership grade is designed to encourage younger people working within the cooling and heating industry to join the institute, which currently has around 2,000 individual members from the refrigeration, air conditioning and heating industry and aims to promote the advancement of these sector.

Those young people who are employed in the sectors’ allied fields and technologies, including design, research, and food science, can also apply for the Young Members grade of the IoR.

IoR membership encourages heating, refrigeration and air conditioning workers to stay ahead of their game by keeping up-to-date with the industry’s latest news, developments and innovations.

Members of the IoR become a part of an industry network that spans the entire heating and cooling field and its allied fields. Members are invited to special events and conferences, including student meetings, and are presented with many opportunities of advancing their career and promoting their business.

The Young Members grade membership is available to those under the age of 30 and costs £29 for up to three years. Following the Young Members grade, those who want to carry on with an IoR membership are invited to become an Associate member.
