Frinton Summer Theatre doing a great trade even without air conditioning
Frinton Summer Theatre located in Frinton-on-Sea in Essex, is a summer only theatre company which will next year celebrate 75-years.
The theatre operates during the summer months, and amazingly operates without any form of air conditioning. Despite this, they enjoy 70% attendance on average.
Last summer was the hottest in recent memory and even thought, the hall which hold the plays doesn’t have any air cooling system, attendance was 70% on average.
Matthew Townshend , producer at the theatre said: “I can confirm that two well-known faces from film, TV and stage have said they will be joining us to appear in two different plays.
“We’re also hoping for a BBC Radio 4 documentary about Frinton’s summer theatre.”
