US air-conditioning & heating expo to attract 60,000 visitors

The air-conditioning, heating & refrigeration industry to gather in Las Vegas for the AHR Expo

The annual International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) is expected to attract up to 60,000 visitors to its Las Vegas location.

The AHR Expo was created over 85 years ago in the US and it has since become ‘the’ event to attend for those involved in the HVACR industry. The show is held every year in a different US city and 2017 is the turn of Las Vegas.

Air-conditioning, heating and refrigeration manufacturers, suppliers, installers, and enthusiasts will descend upon the glamorous city at the end of January for the three-day expo.

Advertised as the ‘world’s largest HVACR marketplace’, the show is expected to bring in crowds of more than 60,000 people from the US and over 150 countries worldwide. More than 2,000 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest technology, innovations, and designs from the HVACR world, including 760 product varieties.

There will be three individual show floors set up in the Las Vegas Convention Centre, each representing a different sector within the HVACR industry. These floors will be: the Building Automation and Control Showcase, the Software Center, and the Indoor Air Quality Association Pavilion.

Visitors will have the chance to attend more than 50 free seminars; take part in ASHRAE’s technical courses; and even sit exams to receive industry certification.

The expo is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI and is hosted concurrently with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference.
